Experience diverse ecology, geology, cultures and witness daily Peruvian life, and uncover the mystery of Peru's history and culture on this unforgettable journey that is sure to leave you enthralled - and wanting more.

Itinerary

Day 1 Lima:
Peruse ornate churches and colonial buildings.

Days 2-3 Amazon Jungle:
Accompanied by a local guide, traipse through the steamy Amazon Jungle and learn about life and survival in this unique ecosystem - from the medicinal properties of native plants to the weird and wonderful creatures unique to the Amazon. Retire to an eco lodge and fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle.

Days 4-5 Cuzco:
The Plaza de Armas is the heart of historic Cuzco, and from here there is plenty to see and do in the city and surrounds.

Day 6 Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo:
Practise Quechua during a community visit in the Sacred Valley. Visit Ollantaytambo - a hint of the Inca wonders to come.

Day 7 Aguas Calientes:
A relaxing train ride through the winding Urubamba Valley leads to Aguas Calientes, at the foot of Machu Picchu. For those who want a sneak peak of the ruins, there's an opportunity for an optional visit.

Days 8-9 Machu Picchu/Cuzco:
Marvel at the grandeur of South America's most spectacular archaeological sites on a guided tour before returning to Cuzco. Take time to visit La Catedral, the city's greatest repository of colonial art from the Cuzco school, which combines European and Andean-Indian styles.

Days 10-11 Puno/Lake Titicaca:
Be enchanted by the striking scenery and unique cultures on a cruise around Lake Titicaca. Call into Taquile Island where knitting is strictly a male affair and then stop by the floating Uros islands, which are created entirely from reeds.

Days 12-13 Lima:
Discover a pre-Inca burial ground at Sillustani, a collection of funerary towers rising out from the desolate altiplano landscape. End the adventure back in Lima's seaside capital.
