Delta & Beyond
10 days
Get wet and wild on this 10-day overland adventure through some of southern Africa's most gorgeous watery wilderness. Watch endangered rhinos drinking at Khama Rhino Sanctuary's waterholes, mount a mokoro expedition through the lush waterways of the Okavango Delta, cruise the serene and beautiful Chobe River, cross the mighty Zambezi by ferry and thrill to the thunder of dramatic Victoria Falls. This is a chance to spot Africa's most exciting animals, support local community projects and traverse some of the most remote places on Earth.

Itinerary
Day 1 Johannesburg:
Get acquainted with the energy of this city of contrasts.
Day 2 Khama Rhino Sanctuary:
This former hunting ground is now a thriving conservation area for the endangered black rhino and visits here benefit both the animals and the local communities that banded together to establish it. Try to spot magnificent rhinos - and a wealth of other African creatures including wildcats, antelope, giraffes and wildebeest.
Day 3 Maun:
Travel to Maun, gateway to the delta adventure ahead.
Days 4-5 Okavango Delta:
Navigate a snaking network of lily-filled channels, islands and lagoons on foot and in a mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe. Keep watch for antelope, elephants and other animals emerging from the wilderness. Camp in a remote part of this wetland.
Day 6 Chobe National Park:
Explore this lush, forested park and perhaps glimpse its lions and elephants. As the sun melts into the horizon, cruise the Chobe River to see African fish eagles and maybe even elephants by the banks.
Days 7-8 Victoria Falls/Livingstone:
Board a ferry into Zambia and plunge into the cavalcade of thrill-seeking activities around Livingstone. Soak up the first sight of Victoria Falls, a smashing sheet of water so powerful its spray can be seen for miles.
Day 9 Northern Botswana:
Travel through Botswana's Chobe Forest extension with the opportunity to spot some African wildlife. We overnight in this magnificent wilderness area.
Day 10 Johannesburg:
After a scenic drive through stark South African terrain, farewell new friends back in Johannesburg.
